VitaC | Community-based Forestry (CBF): the potential of Social Innovation Lab (SILab) to foster resilience in fire-prone Mediterranean forests  — Guilherme Saad Supervised by Prof. Rosário Partidário

Social Innovation Lab (SILab) is an open and collective space that engages multi-actor groups in collaborative networks for the co-creation of social knowledge and innovative solutions to address complex societal challenges. Based on case studies research in Portugal and Greece, PhD research aims to explore and develop SILab approach that contributes to enhance adaptive and community-based governance and increase resilience in fire-prone Mediterranean forests in Europe.

This PhD research is supported by national funds through FCT – Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology, I.P., within the research unit CiTUA (10.54499/UIDB/05703/2020), under supervision of Prof. Maria do Rosário Partidário.

VitaC is a monthly seminar series that aims to explore and highlight the latest research initiatives at CiTUA. The series aims to provide a dynamic platform for researchers to present their work, engage in diverse debates and promote innovation through collaboration.

The event takes place at the Museum DECivil from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM and can also be followed  via zoom.
