CiTUA’s mission is to develop the knowledge base and innovation needed to deal with the complexity and diversity of the problems faced by the territory and built spaces in the 21st century and to contribute to transforming the way the future is envisioned, in line with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. In the upcoming 5 years, CiTUA is geared towards enhancing the understanding of the transformative processes within territories and the processes governing the production, use, and regulation of built spaces. The focus is on documenting and researching theories, processes, and methodologies, evaluating governance, management, and financing models, and contribute to the discourse on the future by fostering a connection between theory and practice, science, and society. This engagement extends to decision-making, public policy, and education.
