VitaC | Peripheral Upgrading for a Sustainable Habitat
NádiaAlbuquerque Supervised by Prof. Manuel Correia Guedes, Prof. Isabel Ortins Raposo & Prof. Catarina Ruivo
The proliferation of spontaneous settlements in Sub-Saharan Africa reveals profound spatial and environmental inequalities. This research develops the 3S Framework (Social, Sustainable, Standardisation), analysing self-produced morphologies in Luanda, Maputo, and São Tomé through typo-processual, space syntax, and thermal performance analysis, to establish contextual guidelines that inform scalable decision-making processes in similar Sub-Saharan contexts.
VitaC is a monthly seminar series that aims to explore and highlight the latest research initiatives at CiTUA. The series aims to provide a dynamic platform for researchers to present their work, engage in diverse debates and promote innovation through collaboration. The event takes place at the DECivil Museum from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM
